Soviet Arcade machine museum

Deep in an underground lair, located below an engineering school in moscow, you can find an amazing treasure. This museum full of soviet arcade machines. Both beautiful and somehow creepy, this collection is simply amazing. Some appear to be obvious knockoffs of popular american games and others have a flavor all their own.

Here are a few to check out, but there are many more at the site linked above.

Button-Masher is rightfully proud to show off his latest build. This arcade cabinet is a fine piece of craftsmanship. Like a good builder should, he has also documented the entire construction process in depth with images. I fount the button panel creation especially enlightening to see.

You can see the entire gallery here, or just check out a few choice pics below.

There’s a video too, but it loaded extremely slow for me.

Behold, the worlds smallest functional arcade machine. Built by Mark Slevinsky, it is capable of playing tetris, space invaders, and breakout. No quarters required.  This little beauty has been inducted into the guiness book of world records gaming edition.

Just how small is it? 4.88 x 2.05 x 2.35in, shorter than an iphone.
