I saw the short description for this movie and absolutely had to check it out. Denise Richards stars counter a friggin animatronic t-rex. Not a t-rex that they had to use animatronics to create, it is actually an animatronic t-rex in the movie.
I opened it up and was shocked to see that the boyfriend, who’s mind is living in the t-rex just happens to be a young Paul Walker of Fast N Furious fame. Absolutely ludicrous.

What cracks me up is that even though the t-rex is an animatronic in the movie, they still need to hide all the shortcomings of the actual animatronic. It doesn’t walk, they have to obscure the base, all the usual tricks. It is a real mind warp.
The scene starting at about 53 minutes in is especially fantastic, as the animatronic t-rex has to convey to Tammy that it is her boyfriend, so it does it in a fantastic charade style pantomime… with it’s little t-rex arm. Of course, since the animatronic couldn’t move its arms with any kind of dexterity it is just an arm in a glove coming from off-screen, and it is glorious.
