Aside from the aesthetics of it all, I really have very little interest in fly fishing. However, I actually took the time to scroll through this entire gallery of pictures detailing the construction of this fly fishing reel.
Blue Zulu has milled/lathed this all manually and taken pictures of it as he went. The detail and elegant simplicity is fantastic. I have no idea if this thing is “nice” in terms of fisherman’s desires, but the craftsmanship is mesmerizing.
